What is estate planning?
Estate planning is the legal process of ensuring your family and assets are protected after you pass or become incapacitated.
It can feel overwhelming to begin the estate planning process, but once complete, it gives you peace of mind knowing that your assets will be distributed among your loved ones with more simplicity and less drama.
We know that death and disability aren’t fun topics to think about, but having an estate plan is an incredible gift to your family because it allows them to focus on their grief and their memories instead of the legal stuff.
We Believe Everyone Needs an Estate Plan
The Value of Estate Planning
Everyone should have an estate plan in place. Even if you already have a will in place (which you should confirm is properly up-to-date), we often recommend that you invest in an estate plan as well.
A comprehensive estate plan includes…
- Power of Attorney documents for healthcare and finances
- Documents outlining your wishes for end-of-life care
- Will & trust
- Your designated beneficiary
- & more depending on your unique needs
Many people assume that if they have a written will, they are protected in the event that they are incapacitated. Unfortunately, without an estate plan, your assets may not be properly distributed to the correct people (beneficiaries). Court involvement may be required, which is often time consuming and expensive.

I received a document from a new, potential employer and this document included lots of legal provisions about a wide variety of items. I was confused and reached out to Brooke to help. She was able to get me a detailed breakdown of the items listed and made those items make sense for me. Additionally Brooke got back with me very quickly which I needed in this situation. Thanks Brooke!
I can't say enough how pleased I am with Brooke and how she handled setting up my will. My husband and I are procrastinators and Brooke was patient and gave us reminders to get it completed. Any questions that came up she answered quickly and made sure she had all information from us. I have peace of mind now.
